Our History
After graduating from Texas A&M University in the Spring of 1987, Byron Vassberg began farming cotton and sugar cane. A first generation farmer and rancher, Vassberg obtained his first cattle in 1994. He built a legacy for Kallion Farms that has been continued by his son, Grant Vassberg, Texas A&M Class of 2013, when he purchased Kallion Farms in 2017.
Through many efforts and cutting-edge technological methods, Kallion Farms has built an extensive breeding program that ensures only the most superior beef products. The Vassberg family and friends have enjoyed Kallion Beef throughout the years.
Grant and his younger brother, Trent Vassberg, Texas A&M Class of 2020, joined forces to bring Kallion’s high-quality beef to your table. In 2018, after much anticipation from it’s customers, Kallion Farms began retailing high-quality beef products.
Kallion proudly continues its legacy of being "In Search of Excellence" in College Station, Texas.
